Mushrooms and Leaves

An occasional breeze shook blizzards of leaves and needles from the trees today as we walked the Patch.  The transition from green continues.

We had a little rain over the weekend, bringing out an amazing variety of mushrooms.

Grass sprouts and flowers have woken from their hot naps.
Prunella vulgaris

These were just bitsy little green spots on September 9.  Someday, maybe I will figure out what plant this is...

I think we picked up the smallest amount of trash ever, in spite of the more than three weeks since our last visit.

It was a glorious autumn day.
